ABADA-Capoeira Jogos Femininos 2012

The intention of this event is not to separate woman and men, but mainly to incentivize women to be better prepared. Since we started the female games the girls have been better prepared to participate in competitions like the Jogos Brasileiros, Jogos Mundiais and Zumbimba. Training involves various aspects, physical and technical.
The first Abadá-Capoeira Female Encounter and Games occurred from the 20-23rd of May 2010 at the Floresta Country Club, in Rio de Janeiro, in conjunction with a social campaign for the prevention of breast cancer. In 2011 the event was held at the same place from the 26-29 of May, with the theme of É tempo de mulher” meaning “Its Womens time”. `The competition was held at Theater Sérgio Porto, in Humaitá, Rio.
